So that when you collect your "AS NEW MGB ROADSTER or MGBGT" you will be totally satisfied with the restoration of this Great Classic British sportscar

THE PAUL DEPPER RESTORATION

Each restoration we carry out is done to very exacting standards which create a "Bodily Better Than New Car". A "Donor" car gives the car it's identity and the source of any obsolete or unobtainable parts for reconditioning.

All parts that are used in this way are meticulously checked and reconditioned as required either "in house" or by one of our specialist reconditioners. All re-used parts are shot blasted, rustproofed and painted, enamelled or plastic coated as required by you the customer for your final specification. All our fully restored cars carry 24 months warranty on the body & 12 months on the mechanical work, although a well looked after car will last a "lifetime".

A full photographic record is carried out on each car and is supplied with it. A "Video Record" is also available on request providing we are notified prior to work commencing and this is at extra cost.

The above can be carried out using either a new "HERITAGE" body shell or a fully rustproofed "RESTORED" bodyshell.

Using A New "HERITAGE" Bodyshell

The new MGB body shell comes supplied from Heritage only after it has undergone one of the most up to date anti - corrosion processes available in the U.K. today. It is this process which is used by some of the Countries most prestigious car manufacturers.

Once in our workshop all the underside of the new shell is painted with Red - lead and then an underbody stonechip paint is applied on to which the top - coat paint is applied [this can be up to 6 coats of best quality "glasurit" paint] a minimum of 3 coats. A11 the "O.E." body panels are then treated to the same underside protection as the shell and then fitted with great importance being placed on the fit of these panels.

With all the panels in place and prior to paintwork the fit of all the "bolt on" parts is checked i.e. windscreen and quarterlights. Once we are satisfied that this is correct the exterior of the car is painted to the colour of your choice, including all cavities and internal areas i.e. engine bay and boot area.

Using A Fully Restored Bodyshell

The donor vehicle is stripped to a shell, all the bolt on panels are removed and inspected for use in our second hand stores. All areas of rust are cut out and replaced with new metal to at least and in many cases above the original specifications. All box sections i.e. sills chassis areas are "Red - leaded" prior to assembly. All underbody areas are cleaned of all loose and damaged underseal and painted with ''red - lead" and then an underbody stone chip paint and then undersealed.

The new body panels are now fitted and the paint process is completed as for the "Heritage shell", with the exception that all floors and internal body panels are Rustproofed prior to the paintwork stage

Original Equipment And New Panels Fitted

Doors, Front wings, Bonnet, Boot Front valance or spoiler as you require Front wing splash plates and seals. At this point all the internal sections i.e. doors, rear wings, sill areas and chassis are injected with "waxoyle" anti - rust protection. Finally the car is assembled with new parts as per your requirements. The car once completed is thoroughly road tested and checked prior to collection.

Brightwork And Exterior Chrome

Front and Rear Bumpers, (not late cars) overiders & seals Waist rail finishers and clips Front Grille & Headlamp Trims 3 Piece Lock Set and Door handles Badges and Air Intake Grille Reconditioned Wheels Door Capping ends, Door seal ends & Ash Tray, Gutter mouldings and screen mouldings (GT only)

Seats Interior Trims And Carpets

Seats refinished as original, new foams and covers Carpets new All Interior Trim Panels New Dashboard re-finished as original All Seals New Hood ( GT only)

Fuel Carburation And Exhausts

Fuel Tank New, Rustproofed. T.S.U. checked and replaced as required Fuel pipes and hose checked and replaced as required using copper pipes Carburettors reconditioned by our S.U. specialist.

Steering And Suspension

Front and Rear Springs replaced Front and Rear Shockers Reconditioned All Mounts & Fixings for above New. All Steering Components checked and reconditioned as required

Braking Systems

All brake pipes replaced with copper All flexible hoses replaced with new All wheel cylinders, Callipers, and Linings replaced/reconditioned. Brake Discs replaced with new.
